1. Pre-shipment inspection and quarantine, which should be conducted outside mainland China. The inspection to check whether the used machines are of enough security, and whether their Environmental Index reach the standards. Notes for second-hand instrument imports

Do import planning in advance. Used machine import involves complex procedures which interlocks with each other.  That one single circle has problems will affect the whole import process and lead to cost increase.

It is suggested to use a professional import agent. Chinese government has strict supervision over used machine imports.  Only experienced import agency company of large scale can arrange import schedule before shipping, do related preparations, and control every step of the import process for you. 

Before import, the dust, oil stains, rusts should be removed from the instruments. The naked parts of electric wires and cables should be replaced.  Used machines that are too old should be refurbished. The naked live parts should be marked with warning signs.

When loading the cargo, do fix the instruments, put the electric wires in order and bind them well to avoid damages on transportation.
