When you ship to China (air cargoes, samples, express/courier goods, instruments, equipment, personal effects), you are notified to completed customs clearance procedures before taking them out from airport. Here comes a question, how to clear customs at China air ports? Please allow me explain with details.

Two methods of airport customs declaration

1. General air customs clearance - this type of goods is shipped to airport as general air cargoes. Foreign shippers directly consign shipments to airlines. When shipments arrive at airports, it is required to do customs declaration. In this case, a China customs broker company is needed to take care of the customs clearance procedures at the airport

2. Express/courier customs clearance. Foreign clients arrange shipment through courier/express services like EMS, Fedex, UPS, DHL, SF, TNT, etc, to China airports. In this case, the customs clearance can be done by the courier/express services or a China import broker company with import and export rights. Client are obligated to provide detailed information.
