Basic import flow of food products 

Get manufacturer, shipper and consignee registered at China customs system→prepare goods and required documents for export and for customs clearance in China→ arrange shipment→→ shipment arrival → CIQ declaration → customs declaration →pay import taxes  → customs inspection → drag cargo to customs supervised warehouse to put on Chinese label(we suggest put on Chinese labels before shipping to skip this step and to save costs) → inspection, sample drawing (if required)→ customs release→pick up goods and make delivery→obtain Chinese Sanitary Certificate → sell in China 

Sampling test is random. If the samples are tested as no problem, China customs will issue Sanitary certificate which certifies that the imported food is up to the China national standards and can be sold in Chinese market. 

The Chinese label of imported shall indicate commodity name, country/region of origin, ingredients, production date, expiration date, importer name and contact info, etc,. 

Required documents for China Customs Clearance of food products include certificate of origin, health certificate/certificate of free sales, original labels, Chinese translation of original labels, Chinese labels, certificate of analysis, production date certificate, invoice, packing list, sales contract, etc,.
