When you export used/second-hand machines to China, you may have some questions lingering in your mind. For example, how to process China customs clearance when the machines arrive at the China port? Step 1: client shall provide detailed information and pictures of the imported machines to Seahog - Seahog calculate import costs and make quotation 

Step 2: Seahog applies for pre-shipment inspection and quarantine for the used machines to be imported

Step 3: Client arranges sea freight to Hong Kong

Step 4: Seahog exchanges D/O and picks up the shipment to Seahog Hong Kong warehouse 

Step 5: Seahog contacts CCIC Hong Kong Branch to inspect machines→CCIC issues the pre-shipment inspection and quarantine certificate when the used machines pass CCIC inspection - Seahog apply automatic import license.

Step 6: Seahog applies automatic import license for the used machines if required.

Step 6: Seahog arranges shipping to the destination port 

Step7: Seahog declares to CIQ and Customs → obtain bill of entry and tax bills→

→  pay tax - inspections -Customs release and pick up

Required documents for imported machines customs declaration:

1. Pre-shipment inspection and quarantine certificate of imported old mechanical and electrical products

2. Automatic import license if required

3. Sales contract, invoice and packing list
